MGS has a recruitment ad up that is... yes, an advergame.
OK, so the gameplay is pure Track-and-Field (and as such, may actually be a nefarious plan to get people to more keyboards from our peripherals group :-) but it's still a nifty idea!

So I clicked on the link to try out the game. But the dev. system I'm working on didn't have flash installed and the site sent me off to install it. However, I'm running Windows XP Pro, 64-bit version and the Macromedia site apparently did some profiling and thought I was running OSX (at least that's the download page it sent me to). How funny is that?
That IS funny!
On a related note, I tried to run Turbotax's web app from my Vista system and it also barfs for unrecognized OS reasons.
Two things:
1) I had no problems with the link or TurboTax (I'm running OSX, of course)
2) That "game" was a pretty unoriginal idea. Do a Google search for Penguin Swing and you'll find a similar game that was written a long time ago. I think that the MSG "game" missed it's mark and the intended message.
