Better pray, better not be gay

This says SO much about what is wrong with this country.

The moment I get citizenship, I'm voting for the first gay black atheist woman who enters the race, regardless of party affiliation or platform!

What if the platform is:

"Revoke citizenship for all naturalized citizens and send them back from whence they came"?

Reminds me of a line from the National Lampoon Lemmings album: "If you are not a black homosexual woman, you are an oppressor pig! You deserve to die!"

Note, though, that likelihood of voting for Jews, Catholics, Blacks, and women have all increased secularly over the years. Only the likelihood of voting for an atheist has declined--and remains at low levels.

You can see why. Why would you vote for someone who believes in reason and a skeptical approach to unprovable claims, when you could vote for someone whose worldview is shaped by the folk legends of bronze-age nomads?

This is what's so wrong with this country. People are so worried about the candidate's gender, race, and sexual orientation, when the important thing to worry about is their platform.

Also, I would be interested to see the exact phrasing of the questions on the survey. ex: "Would you vote for an atheist?" vs "Would you you not vote for a particular candidate, solely due to the fact that they are an atheist?"

People want to vote for candidates that share a common viewpoint. That's why Christians tend to vote for Christians, and that's why the niggers elected Obama.
